morning light..

One of those mornings...ahhh

Early morning quiet, peaceful and time to just be.

My tea, my Bible and my journal
(homemade journal cover made by my sweet friend Consuelo for Christmas)

"The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of down,
which shine ever brighter until the full light of day." Proverbs 4:18

Jesus I want to remain bright. Please keep me from becoming dull in my relationship with you.

  2. So, do you get up before your kids wake up? Or do they all go to school already? I just love those quiet early morning times spent with the Father...but with two little ones who wake up and are boucing around by 6:30 most mornings, I find it a challenge to fit in. Sometimes I have my quiet time in the evening after the kids are in bed...but nothing compares to those early morning dates with the Father.

  3. I find those moments so far and few between. Sometimes it can be discouraging. But this week He reminded me that He communicates with me in the "little" things, all throughout the day. YEAH for those "little moments". They are sweet. I haven't commented on your blog before, but I am a mommy of 3, living in Idealtepe. I am friends with Consuelo, as well as Ruth (who also commented on this post)

  4. Ruth, Yes I was up early. I am really taking advantage of my kids not being in school yet. They stay up later so they sleep in later...my 3 year old is a hit and miss, however during this season I am LOVING these mornings. And as every mommy with young kids knows it could change tomorrow. :)Much care to you fellow Turkey dwelling mama. :) May you enjoy the Father today in the few minutes of quiet you find.

  5. Mel, Welcome. So very fun to meet you. I just want to say it is so true that the moments through the day are so invaluable. Especially with young kids where lots of quiet time is just not available. Thanks for commenting. I LOVE hearing from other moms that are living in Turkey. Enjoy your 'little moments' that can make the day.~
