2013 Graphic Art Calendar GIVEAWAY

Happy 2013! I have this thing with cute calendars. Wall size, desk size, cd size etc....love em all.
Don't have one right now but love 'em all . :) I saw this calendar sometime ago and really liked it. So I thought : what a great time to get a new fun calendar, don't you think.  I am delighted to say that Luvalexa Etsy Shop was happy and excited to do this giveaway with me....

HOPE graphic art giveaways

Hi all. Well the Giveaway I have chatted about on and off has begun. YIPEE.

The theme is HOPE because I love it and we all need it. 

This giveaway is featuring two different prints by two different women.

There are two red flower garlands. The longer of the two is 5.2 ft with the slightly bigger flowers. The shorter of the two is 4.5 ft. and has a small flowers.  They are both a vibrant red.  They would bring energy to any little girls room or a sweet splash of color to any room. ~ These sweet things were made by one of my dear Turkish friends here.  She lost her job and has started trying to sell her crochet items to help bring in some funds for her family.

I have this fascination with paper marbling. In Turkish it is called EBRU.  Every piece of art is unique and the process of Ebru is mesmerizing to watch.  Check out this post (click here) for some wonderful pictures of Ebru in action, it is created in water.  I want this  Giveaway to be a way for me to give into the culture I am living in and to give to you who are following, a piece of Turkish art and creativity.  This piece of art was made right here in my little town by an Ebru artist.  I LOVE this one and wouldn’t mind keeping it for myself.

Description:   An original piece of paper marbling art (Ebru) Tulips on a light green and white background.  Also included is a description of paper marbling and where and how it originated. The picture above does not do it justice.(remember it was created in water)

This giveaway was a learning expeirence for me and soo much fun.  I really enjoyed this.  However I think I didn't quite hit the 'fun' factor for all of you living in Turkey with the fabric giveaway. What would be fun to receive?  Were there some of you who read the Giveaway post and didn't sign up becasue fabric isn't your thing? I would really like your feedback, so here are a few options.

Giveaway and Tiered skirt (I DID IT!!!)

Ok this post is going to be fun!!

First I DID IT! I finally made my first (picture worthy) from scratch skirt.  Maybe to some of you sewers it's 'no big deal', but to me, a very sewing machine challenged (even though I love mine, we just seem to argue now and again), non reader of directions girl, this is big news. :)

So today, because I believe if I can learn to sew than ANYONE can, I am hosting:
a giveaway to anyone living in Turkey!!( I have a REALLY fun giveaway planned for ALL my followers in July.)

I am giving away 100% cotton fabric to the winner ~ Yep check below for the pics.
This is my way of encourging all of you out there in need of an outlet to... go ahead and give sewing a try... sew some bookmarks or an upcycle or why not try a pillow.  :) Learn along with me and do a jig when you actually complete something.

Here is the skirt I made for my daughter's 5 year old birthday. I upcycled a shirt to match. :) Which I still need to wash so that the cut edges frey but you get the idea.

I really want to show you all how I did it and a great tutorial that was full of pics that really helped me. I'll share that in my next post.
